In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina slammed into my former residence in Pass Christian, MS and wiped my house and most of the Mississippi coast off the map. Yet on the news all you heard about was the damage to New Orleans (which wasn't caused directly by Katrina, but by shoddy levee systems breaking).
Well now Accu Weather breathlessly warns us about killer cold weather coming to the Gulf Coast: Texas, Louisana, and Florida! Whoops, where is Mississippi in this? Maybe the Yankees that run Accu Weather never learned that we are on the Gulf Coast too?
