Is there a Double Standard?

Think there is a double standard in Washington?

Here are the 13 allegations against Charlie Rangel, here.

Rangels response: "a little sloppiness in my paperwork"

Yeah, tax evasion and controlled rent violations in New York City and campaign solicitation violations.

On just the tax evasion alone, how do you think you and I would fair with that charge? Can we say "hello Leavenworth?????"

Double Standard: the Ruling Class and the rest of us "unwashed"

Will Washington's Failures Lead To Second American Revolution?

Where did that headline come from? Some far-right minuteman blog somewhere up in the mountains out west?

No, actually from staid, buttoned-up, Investors Business Daily!

The article makes a pretty good case that we may be closer to 1776 than we think:

The Internet is a large-scale version of the "Committees of Correspondence" that led to the first American Revolution — and with Washington's failings now so obvious and awful, it may lead to another.

Too many overreaching laws give the president too much discretion to make too many open-ended rules controlling too many aspects of our lives. There's no end to the harm an out-of-control president can do.

Fear and uncertainty stalk the land. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke says America's financial future is "unusually uncertain."

Obama is building an imperium of public debt and crushing taxes, contrary to George Washington's wise farewell admonition: "cherish public credit ... use it as sparingly as possible ... avoiding likewise the accumulation of debt ... bear in mind, that towards the payment of debts there must be Revenue, that to have Revenue there must be taxes; that no taxes can be devised, which are not ... inconvenient and unpleasant ... ."

And most telling..........A wounded rampaging president can do much damage — and, like Caesar, the evil he does will live long after he leaves office, whenever that may be.

The overgrown, un-pruned power of the presidency to reward, punish and intimidate may now be so overwhelming that his re-election in 2012 is already assured — Chicago-style.

Nancy! Turn on the Pump, the Swamp is getting Deeper!

Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House once declared that she was going to "drain the swamp of corruption", speaking to persistent ethics violations in the House.

Well this week we have seen the Charlie Rangle ethics charges go public and a different committee is working toward a similar outcome for Maxine Waters who just happened to lobby the Govt for a bank that her husband owned stock in.

Read it all here.

The Wizards of Central Planning

Question: it's campaign time. How do you make your anti-business appear to be pro-business for campaign purposes?

Well, you fly all over the country touting your new Small Business Loan Program. People clap, cheer and go home.

The small business folks you supposedly are trying to help (actually you are trying only to help yourself) take a look at your program and say "no way!". Why is that?

Read it all here.

And if you've been paying attention over the last 18 months, you're probably asking, what's the catch?

Glad you asked: most of the tax cuts are so narrowly targeted as to be economically trivial. The list includes bonus depreciation, small business expensing and a temporary zero capital gains tax rate for small business start-ups. These would be in place for a year or two and then vanish, which means they'll do little to change business behavior.

The bill authorizes Treasury to purchase up to $30 billion of stock in small, community banks across the country. The banks in turn would agree to issue as much as $300 billion in loans to small businesses that they wouldn't otherwise lend to.

Here's the best part: The whiz kids at the Congressional Budget Office and Joint Committee on Taxation estimate that this program will raise $1.1 billion for the federal government. So there really is a free lunch.

The false assumption here is that banks are reluctant to lend because they lack the capital. This ignores that small business lending is also down because the business demand for loans is weak. Businesses don't typically expand when Washington is raising dividend, capital gains and personal income tax rates while piling on the new costs of ObamaCare and other regulations.

So what is the bottom line for all t his bureaucratic sleight of hand?

The tax cut in this bill will provide $12 billion in relief over 10 years. The tax increase that Mr. Obama favors for 2011 would raise what the Joint Committee on Taxation figures will be $600 billion of revenues, about half of which comes from the coffers of small business. So the tax hikes, which are permanent, are about 50 times larger than the tax cuts, which are temporary. And the Obama Administration wonders why some people think this President is antibusiness.

More Hope than Change.............

Campaigner in Chief: Auto Bailouts a Good Thing

Now that he has done his appearance on "The View" to bolster his support among women, he is heading to Michigan to fuel up his Union buddies by explaining again how the Government Motors bailout was so good for America, without saying how it was sooooo much better for the Unions that poured hundreds of millions into his election.

He also probably won't say anything about all the Chrysler creditors and autodealers who got robbed by his heavy handed bailout of Chrysler either.

Gotta put some lipstick on those Pigs! Read it all here.

Warren Buffet: Kindly old gentleman? Or not?

Warren Buffet has the kindly looking face and slow demeanor that we might associate with our own grandfathers. He has made billions investing in industries that make real products as well as in the service industry, eg, insurance.

We have read stories about how he has given away billions of his amassed fortune to good causes. What we have not read is that Warren Buffet is among one of the most prolific funders of abortion in this country! Read it all here.

IN 1999, UTA LANDY, a former director of the National Abortion Federation, and Philip Darney, her husband and an OB-GYN professor at U.C.S.F., created the Kenneth J. Ryan Residency Training Program. The program gives medical schools two or three years of seed money for abortion training for OB-GYN residents. Through it, 58 campuses in the U.S. and Canada have received financing. Landy also directs the Family Planning Fellowship, with Jody Steinauer as the associate director.

The money for the Ryan and the Family Planning Fellowship comes from one foundation and from one family. The donor has chosen to remain anonymous, which helps to explain why there’s been so little publicity about the pro-choice strategy of bringing abortion into academic medicine. It has been covered by a veil of semisecrecy.

At the same time, as the Ryan and the fellowship have expanded to dozens of institutions, many people have come to know about the source of funding. In the course of my reporting, two doctors who had not done the fellowship themselves, but who work in universities, volunteered to me that the money for the programs comes from the Buffett Foundation. They meant the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation.

Susan Thompson Buffett was married to Warren Buffett and served as president of the foundation that bears her name. She died in 2004. Two years later, Warren Buffett gave the foundation about $3 billion. He said that he expected the gift to increase the foundation’s annual expenditures by $150 million. And in fact, total giving by the foundation, where two of the Buffetts’ children sit on the board, increased from $202 million in 2007 to $347 million in 2008, according to tax returns.

The tax records also show that most of the foundation’s spending goes to abortion and contraception advocacy and research. According to Access Philanthropy, a research institute that focuses on the giving preferences of foundations and corporate donors, family planning is one of the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation’s main purposes. The foundation’s nonprofit 990 tax form shows that in 2008, Planned Parenthood and its affiliates in the U.S. received about $45 million; the international arm of the organization got about $8 million. There is no line item for the Ryan program or the Family Planning Fellowship. But the foundation paid out around $50 million to universities with one or both of the programs.

Puts a little different light on the kindly old image of Warren Buffet.

President Obama is set to make history this week: with the Boy Scouts?

Nope, he will appear on "The View", an innane morning talk show that is worth the air time it burns up, but attracts viewers who can't resist watching a "cat fight".

And what about the Scouts? Oh, nothing much. Just marking their Hundreth Anniversary at their summer Jamboree. Nothing that a President who didn't grow up in America could care much about. Read it all here.

White House Backed Release of Lockerbie Bomber

The iconic picture above defines the anger and fear that terrorism can strike anywhere and at anytime and is perpatrated by slimy characters who will not put on a uniform and fight conventional wars.

As noted here, we now find out that our own President Obama agreed with releasing the Lockerbie bomber on grounds of "compassion" rather than having him locked up in a Libyan prison.

Compassion? What about the hundreds that died on that plane? What compassion did they get from Abdel Baset al-Megrahi?

The intervention, which has angered US relatives of those who died in the attack, was made by Richard LeBaron, deputy head of the US embassy in London, a week before Megrahi was freed in August last year on grounds that he had terminal cancer.

The document, acquired by a well-placed US source, threatens to undermine US President Barack Obama's claim last week that all Americans were "surprised, disappointed and angry" to learn of Megrahi's release.

In the letter, sent on August 12 last year to Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond and justice officials, Mr LeBaron wrote that the US wanted Megrahi to remain imprisoned in view of the nature of the crime.

The note added: "Nevertheless, if Scottish authorities come to the conclusion that Megrahi must be released from Scottish custody, the US position is that conditional release on compassionate grounds would be a far preferable alternative to prisoner transfer, which we strongly oppose."

Which is more sad: that we aided the release of this monster or that our President lied to us about his official position on it? With this outfit, that's a tough choice indeed.

John Kerry not doing his Patriotic Duty?

Remember Joe Biden told us it was our "patriotic duty" to pay taxes. Maybe John Kerry did not get the memo?

Seems Kerry's new $7million yacht is tucked away in Rhode Island instead of Kerry's homestate of Massachuesetts.

Now why might that be?

Well there are no boat taxes in RI and in MA one gets hit with 6.25%.........so the Kerry's save a whopping $500,000 by keeping it down the road a bit in RI.

But what about that patriotic duty thing?

Let's wait and hear John Kerry speak for himself.

One Reason we hate +2000 page bills no one reads

Remember the famous Pelosi quote? "We have to pass the bill in order to find out what is in it"!

Well, read here something that is in the bill which has not a darn thing to do with healthcare!

Those already outraged by the president's health care legislation now have a new bone of contention -- a scarcely noticed tack-on provision to the law that puts gold coin buyers and sellers under closer government scrutiny.

If you buy or sell gold coins, the Government wants to know all about it and will tax you in the process.

Starting Jan. 1, 2012, Form 1099s will become a means of reporting to the Internal Revenue Service the purchases of all goods and services by small businesses and self-employed people that exceed $600 during a calendar year. Precious metals such as coins and bullion fall into this category and coin dealers have been among those most rankled by the change.

So every time a member of the public sells more than $600 worth of gold to a dealer, Piret said, the transaction will have to be reported to the government by the buyer.

And somewhere in that vast Federal database, it will be recorded what you bought or sold and presumbably what you are holding on to.

Remember when FDR confiscated gold in the 1930's?????

Flashback 2007: Greatest Threat to Obama Campaign?

It's 2007 again: The Obama campaign is rolling full steam ahead; the Clinton campaign is on the ropes. Then potential disastor rises up in the form of Rev Jerimiah Wright, none other than Obama's spiritual advisor.

His anti-American, anti-white rhetoric threatens the Obama's carefully crafted, pleasing, innocent to whites, persona. What to do?

Read it all here.

It was the moment of greatest peril for then-Sen. Barack Obama’s political career. In the heat of the presidential campaign, videos surfaced of Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, angrily denouncing whites, the U.S. government and America itself. Obama had once bragged of his closeness to Wright. Now the black nationalist preacher’s rhetoric was threatening to torpedo Obama’s campaign.

The crisis reached a howling pitch in mid-April, 2008, at an ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked Obama why it had taken him so long – nearly a year since Wright’s remarks became public – to dissociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do?”

According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”

And so, in what used to be called "the media", what we really have is nothing but a bunch of Pravda-like propogandists for the far left liberal Progressives in this country.

What will a Hurricane do to the Gulf Oil?

For nearly a hundred days we have watched as oil pours into the Gulf of Mexico because of the Deepwater Horizon accident.

Now we are in Hurricane Season. So, we might wonder......what would/could happen if all that oil got sucked up into a hurricane.

Here is what Dr. Jeff Masters, the founder of WeatherUnderground.com thinks about that.

NAACP: clean thy own house........

Last week we posted here on an NAACP resolution about TEA Parties being racist.

Well, well, look what a difference a week can make: see here.

This is a video about a Georgia USDA executive explaining how she would not help a white farmer who was losing his land. So, she sent him off to "one of his own", a white lawyer, for help.

If you listen carefully to the video you can hear that the audience loves the presentation and finds it very amusing.

Which just proves once again: we are all sinners. If you see someone acting truly racist, you need to try and right that wrong.

But to point to a whole collection of people and call them racists simply shows the lack of humility which YOU possess.

Required Reading: America's Ruling Class

This brilliant article from the American Spectator makes the case that Americans have become captive to a professional ruling class; irregardless of what political party is in power or sharing power.

The key objective of the ruling class is to........continue to rule! They care not for their "subjects" nor the Constitution. Many have bluntly said so!

Please read this in detail. We will talk about it more later.

Veep Biden: The gift that keeps on giving......

In this story from Fox News, VP Biden tried to reverse the claim made by press secretary Robert Gibbs last week.

Democrats going up the chain all the way to Vice President Biden tried feverishly on Sunday to reverse Robert Gibbs' prediction that Republicans could seize the House in November, as GOP lawmakers claimed Washington indeed was on the verge of a power shift.

And here is the punch line from Biden: .......Biden made a confident prediction about his party's chances in November. He said voters don't yet grasp the benefits of Democrat-passed policies but that they will begin to crystallize in time for the midterm elections.

Oh but Joe, we DO realize the "benefits" and we realize what they are and will be doing to this country for a hell of a long time. And that's why we are going to cut as many of you Progressive Democrats to the ditch as possible so we can take this country back and repeal as much of this socialistic crap as we can.

Lessons from Nature.....

This article from National Review Online provides some interesting things humans ought to pay attention to in nature.

Westchester County, in the suburbs of New York City, was home to Hillary Clinton when she pretended to represent New York in the U.S. Senate, and its voters gave Barack Obama 63 percent of their ballots in 2008. It’s the sort of place that causes heavy breathing among the liberal faithful devoutly awaiting the coming of the New Democratic Majority.

But Westchester County has a problem more often seen in rural, Republican-leaning jurisdictions: coyotes. These canine predators are a real menace, a fact that was dramatically illustrated in late June by the case of young Emily Hodulik, age six, who was attacked by a pair of coyotes on a leafy suburban street in the quaint town of Rye. The coyotes’ offensive proceeded along classically predatory lines as the canines ignored the other children in the group and targeted the smallest, weakest child. Miss Hodulik suffered serious bite wounds but escaped without life-threatening injuries.

Coyotes like to attack the little ones, human or otherwise. That was the case for one unfortunate coyote that attacked a puppy out for a jog with his master in Travis County, Texas, in the suburbs of Austin, where coyotes have it a little rougher than they do in suburban New York. That particular coyote had the bad luck to set his gaze on a puppy owned by Gov. Rick Perry, who produced a laser-sighted .380-caliber automatic pistol, loaded with hollowpoints, and sent it to the Happy Hunting Grounds.

People have a visceral reaction to guns, which is why the reactions to the Supreme Court’s recent decision in McDonald v. City of Chicago have been so emotional. One extraordinarily telling reaction came from David Ignatius of the Washington Post, whose response was headlined: “The Supreme Court Gun Decision Moves Us Toward Anarchy.” Mr. Ignatius wrote: “My biggest worry with Monday’s Supreme Court decision is that by ruling, in effect, that every American can apply for a gun license, the justices will make gun ownership much more pervasive in a society that already has too many guns. After all, if I know that my neighbor is armed and preparing for Armageddon situations where law and order break down (as so many are — just read the right-wing blogs) then I have to think about protecting my family, too. That’s the state-of-nature, everyone for himself logic that prevails in places such as Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan.”

Mr. Ignatius here is remarkably forthcoming: He is not worried about guns in the hands of criminals, but about guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens, people who are willing to apply for a permit and jump through the bureaucratic hoops required of gun buyers

That is the essence of 21st-century progressivism: In matters ranging from financial derivatives to education to gun control, the Left believes that we face a choice between a masterful state and a Hobbesian war of all against all. For all of the smart set’s vaunted and self-congratulatory nuance, it is this absolutist vision, this Manichean horror, that forms the foundation of progressivism.

But the idea that individuals might use firearms lawfully to defend themselves is either anathema to progressives or inconceivable to them. President Obama’s reaction to the Heller decision, the predecessor to McDonald v. Chicago, suffered the inevitable lacunae: “I have always believed that the Second Amendment protects the right of individuals to bear arms, but I also identify with the need for crime-ravaged communities to save their children from the violence that plagues our streets through commonsense, effective safety measures,” he said, unable to consider the possibility that citizens’ arming themselves against criminals is one potentially effective safety measure.

To use lethal force in self-defense is the ultimate declaration of independence, a kind of momentary secession from the authority of the government whose laws and prisons and police officers have, in that moment, failed the citizen.

Read it all; it basically records the horror of Progressives who find real life to be, well, "so very messy"!

Beware the Myth of Collective Salvation

From a recent article I wrote:

Beware the Myth of Collective Salvation: The subject of Collective Salvation probably had its last great stand in the 1970's thru early 1990's under the guise of Liberation Theology, which primarily came out of the horror and suffering of South American civil wars. But here in the United States, we are now hearing it more and more and more. And unlike South America, where it sprang up from a synthesis between the communists and the Roman Catholic clergy, we are seeing it coming straight at us from our own Federal Government. That, in and of itself, should be very troubling to all faithful Christians.

First let me be very very clear. In Christianity and Christian Theology, salavation is an individual issue. Our salvation depends on Jesus Christ and our faith in Him as our Lord and Savior. Period, end of story, no ifs, no buts, and no add-ons, period!

Collective Salvation posits that there can be no wealth, unless all have wealth. There can be no successful people, unless all are successful. There can be no salvation until all achieve equality in all dimensions of humanity. The most sneaky formulation is that the grace of Jesus Christ has to be the same grace for everyone (more on that later).

Where wealth is mal-distributed (in someone's opinion), where some achieve worldly success but others don't (in somone's opinion), and where we all don't have all the same things (in someone's opinion), the priesthood of Collective Salvation demands that there must be sacrifices. In the theology of Collective Salvation, the poor and oppressed have a special duty to bring the wealthy oppressors to salvation by taking their wealth from them. The poor and oppressed cannot achieve salvation until they bring the wealthy to redemption by redistributing their wealth; hence the term "collective" salvation.

Please notice that in the previous paragraph there is no mention of Jesus! The arbitrars of equality are self-appointed judges who not only decide how wealth and success are to be portioned out, but also decide who will make sacrifices for the "Collective Salvation" of the whole.

Jesus told us a much different story of salvation. He told us (see the Gospel of John), "I am the truth, the way, and the life.........the path to the Father is through me". We each are personally responsible for our salvation through our devotion, worship, and faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. As we recently heard in the Gospel of Luke, we are to love our neighbors as ourselves, but that brotherly, Christian love is not to be confused with the Christian Theology of our own personal salvation. Everyone can partake of the grace of Jesus Christ through faith. But that in no way shape or form suggests that all will achieve equal outcomes in their earthly existance. You might say, that is what heaven is for!

Does this seem confusing? There are those who try to make it that way. Please talk to your clergy if this confusion troubles you.

Arizona: Illegal Immigration,,,,the facts

The Obama administration declares, "the border is as secure as it has ever been!!"

Really? Then please take a look at this!!!!!

Warning!!!! Prayer outside Supreme Court is Illegal!!!!

You can't make this up: read it all here.

A group of Christian students was ordered to stop praying outside the U.S. Supreme Court building on May 5 because a court police officer told them it was against the law.

The students were part of a junior high school American History class at Wickenburg Christian Academy in Arizona. After taking pictures on the steps of the Supreme Court building, their teacher gathered them to a side location where they formed a circle and began to pray.

According to Nate Kellum, senior counsel with the Alliance Defense Fund, a police officer “abruptly” interrupted the prayer and ordered the group to cease and desist.

“They were told to stop praying because they were violating the law and they had to take their prayer elsewhere,” Kellum told FOX News Radio.

A spokesperson for the Court said the Marshal of the Court will look into the events alleged by the ADF.

“The Court does not have a policy prohibiting prayer,” said public information officer Kathy Arberg in an email to FOX News Radio.

So the group of 15 students and seven adults left the Supreme Court and relocated to a sidewalk – where Rigo said the children stood in a gutter – and continued their prayer.

Are we at the Liberal Tipping Point?

We have clearly reached the point where President Obama is no longer viewed as the "Messiah" except by himself and the most radical of his liberal base.

A great number of his liberal supporters naturally think he has not gone far enough toward enacting his agenda so they are angry.

A boatload of moderates including so-called independents and a big slug of white voters have finally realized they made a huge mistake in voting for him by thinking that "he had to govern from the center" and that his election was a way to wash away their "white guilt" for remaining racism in this country.

The polls are showing he is on the edge of a cliff as far as his support is concerned. Even the late-night comedians are taking persistant shots at him.

The next step in the polls will be a headlong rush toward buffunary, that is, being viewed as the pathetic leader that he is, rigidly locked into an ideology that hates this country and sincerely wishes to destroy it.

So, are we at that tipping point? Watch in the coming months. If he acts true to form as a despotic socialist, he will lash out more rather than pulling back in the name of self-preservation.

And Now.......Al Qaeda is Racist!!!!!!!!

President Obama and WhiteHouse aids have declared Al Qaeda to be racist because they seemingly don't value African life and kill innocents without caring and they use Africans as cannon fodder in lower level suicide missions.

Read it all here.

Does this now mean the Dept of Justice and Eric Holder might become interested in fighting the Al Qaeda organization?

TEA Parties Vindicated!!

While the NAACP is busy passing worthless resolutions condemming racisim in the TEA Party Movement, the Obama Administration is making come true one of the warnings heard all around the country last year about ObamaCare.

ObamaCare will now start paying for abortions using taxpayer money! Read it all here about new high risk plans going into effect in PA. These plans are going into effect in other states also, and most likely pro-abortion folks in those states will push for taxpayer funded abortions there also!

Remember all the democratic promises and the Executive order that bought off Stupak so "this could not happen"?

Lies, lies, damnable lies!

NAACP: Tea Parties are Racist!!

Read it all here.

After Michelle's stump speech about how bad things are still for blacks and someday needs to fix that, see here, the next step to whip up the base is to attack the TEA Parties,,,,,,,who have been going after the Washington politicans who making the economy bad for blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, and in fact, EVERYBODY!

The nation's leading civil rights group took up the language at its annual convention in Kansas City, Mo. The resolution initially said the NAACP would "repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties" and stand against the movement's attempt to "push our country back to the pre-civil rights era,"

Not only is this just stupidity in the extreme, it is pandering politics to give those black Americans who still give credence to the NAACP a "straw man enemy" to get fired up about.

All that matters for these folks is this: can they keep those folks fired up until November?

Well, that's your problem folks. Just recall that it was white voters who put Obama into office and you are kicking sand in those folk's faces.

Keep it up, keep it up!

"We have problems, others have to solve them for us",,,M. Obama

Speaking to the NAACP’s National Convention in Kansas City today, First Lady Michelle Obama said her husband is where he is today because of the organization, and now is not the time to "rest on our laurels."

Really? Actually her husband is where he is today because he fooled a whole bunch of white people into voting for his slightly veiled socialist agenda.

Enjoy this one, When African American communities are still hit harder than just about anywhere by this economic downturn, and so many families are just barely scraping by, I think the founders would tell us that now is not the time to rest on our laurels.

She failed to mention this is her husband's engineered economic downturn.

And of course we get this push for equal outcomes instead of equal opportunities; When stubborn inequalities still persist -- in education and health, in income and wealth -- I think those founders would urge us to increase our intensity, and to increase our discipline and our focus and keep fighting for a better future for our children and our grandchildren.”

And then we get the victim analogy; We are living today in a time where we’re decades beyond slavery, we are decades beyond Jim Crow; when one of the greatest risks to our children’s future is their own health. African American children are significantly more likely to be obese than are white children.

Read the whole story here, you will see nothing about personal responsibility. Her message is that we are still victims and we are waiting for someone to fix our problems for us.

What a role model.......

Comedians take aim at Obama

Lies, Lies, and Damnable Lies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama's so-called Debt Commission is providing a perfect illustration how the politics of Washington are toxic to the survival of this nation. It does not matter whether we are talking about Democrats or Republicans, when the game is pure politics, the good of the Nation is certain to suffer. Read it all here, but here are some of the tidbits;

The co-chairmen of President Obama's debt and deficit commission offered an ominous assessment of the nation's fiscal future here Sunday, calling current budgetary trends a cancer "that will destroy the country from within" unless checked by tough action in Washington. We need a commission to know this?

There are many who hope we fail," Simpson said at the closing session of the National Governors Association annual meeting. He called the 18-member commission "good people with deep, deep differences" who know the odds of success "are rather harrowing Actually we don't know why you exist except to provide Obama with political cover after the November elections to ram through a VAT tax

And my favorite,

Bowles said that unlike the current economic crisis, which was largely unforeseen before it hit in fall 2008, the coming fiscal calamity is staring the country in the face. "This one is as clear as a bell," he said. "This debt is like a cancer Who are you kidding, lots folks were horrified at the Fannie and Freddie mortgage lending practices which created the housing bubble and enriched their executives by fraudulent bookkeeping.

And then the coup de grace;

Bowles and Simpson said the commission would have had a stronger hand politically had it been created by Congress, rather than through an executive order. Simpson was pointed in his criticism of seven Republicans who once co-sponsored such a measure but who helped block it in the Senate.

"As far as I can discern, it was to stick it to the president," Simpson said

Ahhhhhh, you see, poor President Obama, he was just a victim!

This is nothing more than a soap opera of epic proportions, get the tissues out, it is bitter tears time........

The Constitution of the United States is our roadmap out of this mess. For these clowns to insult a gathering of the governors of the United States with this tripe is ego at the highest level.

Big Brother: digging deeper at the IRS

The mammoth government agency known as the IRS will implement rules hidden in the depths of ObamaCare to dig deeper into minute business transactions in search of "hidden" transactions in the hope of pulling in more tax revenue for the Federal Govt, read it all here.

The new regulations, which kick in at the start of 2012, require any taxpayer with business income to issue 1099 forms to all vendors from whom they purchased more than $600 of goods and services that year. That promises to launch a fusillade of new paperwork: An estimated 40 million taxpayers will be subject to the requirement, including 26 million who run sole proprietorships, according to a report released this week by National Taxpayer Advocate Nina Olson.

Let's say you own a Landscaping business, you have two employees and you buy gasoline, parts, equipment, supplies from a dozen different vendors over the year. As part of your tax process you have to issue all these 1099's. That means you have to gather all this info, segment the transactions, total them up, fill out the 1099's, and issue them.

What does any of that activity add to value of your business?

Nothing.

Again, the IRS is a massive intrusion on the American people and American business.

Revenues could be collected with a National Sales Tax or Fair Tax and the IRS and all its forms could become history.

But they LIKE to know what you are doing!

Hard Truth: Government spending does not create Prosperity

Whether it is Thad Cochran in Mississippi or Robert Byrd in West Virginia, many politicians like to sell what they "bring home from Washington" as something akin to manna in the Old Testament.

The recent death of Robert Byrd illustrates how vacuous that promise is. Byrd brought home $4billion in pork in the last 20 years of his senate seat, read it all here.

Despite all this largess, West Virginia is still the third poorest state in the Union.

Cochran of Mississippi has brought home a similar bounty and scoffs at constituents who plead for fiscal responsibility. If Mississippi isn't at the bottom of the poor state list, it is close.

Federal spending does not replace or supplant hard work and individual responsibility.

Sex Ed in Montana.........strong content warning!

Why am I posting the Sodom and Gommorah pix again?

Read this about a proposed Sex Ed program in Montana for public schools:

The Helena Public School system is considering a comprehensive plan for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. It includes teaching first graders that people can be attracted to the same gender. In second grade students are instructed to avoid gay slurs and by the time students turn 10 years old they are taught about various types of intercourse.

According to the draft proposal obtained by FOX News Radio, fifth graders should “understand that sexual intercourse includes but is not limited to vaginal, oral, or anal penetration.”

Education obviously is not the 3 R's anymore.

Like your tax dollars going for this?

I bet Kevin Jennings thinks this is just great!

Conservative values in Action: New Jersey!

New Jersey would close its centralized car inspection lanes and motorists would pay for their own emissions tests under a sweeping set of recommendations set to be released by the Christie administration today.

State parks, psychiatric hospitals and even turnpike toll booths could also be run by private operators, according to the 57-page report on privatization obtained by The Star-Ledger. Preschool classrooms would no longer be built at public expense, state employees would pay for parking and private vendors would dish out food, deliver health care and run education programs behind prison walls.

The state conducts more than 1.94 million initial inspections a year and pays for all of them. Drivers pay only if they fail the inspections and have to make repairs.

Privatization is a good thing: it injects competition into feather-bedded state jobs.

But let's take it one step further: a risk/benefit analysis on car inspections. Does the cost of car inspections lead to a benefit which is worth the cost? If the answer is no, then drop the whole darn thing and work on something that does have a tangible benefit.

Obama: Week in Review

As he pursues his efforts to transform America by collapsing the system, let's reveiw briefly some of those efforts this week: Five that quickly come to mind:

1. Oil Moratorium: still trying to strangle oil development in the Gulf and elsewhere.

2. Medicare & ObamaCare: used a recess appointment to slip David Berwick, a redistributionist and socialist into running these programs

3. DOJ: holding strong to the position that it is okay for black militants to engage in voter intimidation.

4. NASA: forget the moon, mars, or that fabulously expensive space station, we have to make muslims feel good about themselves.

5. Defend the broders: screw you Arizona, see you in court. The borders are as secure as we want them to be.

Sodom and Gomorrah

In the ancient bible story, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their vulgar immoral ways.

Check out this story about the Washington DC Capital Pride Parade and it's "sponsorship" by the Episcopal Church here.

Forget a moment about biblical admonistions against homosexual activity. What about decency? None of that is observed here in this event.

That an Episcopal parish (St. Thomas) would take part in the parade is bad enough. That the Bishop of the Diocese of Washington was a participant is beyond the pale.

It is hard to believe that God is pleased.

Let the Numbers Speak

A new gallup poll here reveals some interesting statistics.

The headline of course is Obama Job Approval Rating Down to 38% Among Independents.

Yes, that is an interesting number and not too surprising given the socialist-leftist thrust of the administration as it tries to transform American into a western-European socialist state.

The most interesting number to me is that Meanwhile, Obama maintains the support of 81% of Democrats,

Really? While Obama seeks to unravel the country and turn it into a socialist state 81% of Democrats support that move?

So here is my question: are most Democrats anti-American? And if the answer is yes, what do they consider themselves? Socialist, Communists?

What else to make of these numbers?

New Black Panthers: Off Limits or Not?

Let's pretend for a moment that a group of KKK supporters took up position outside a voting place in Jackson, Mississippi and intimidated black voters and called for whites to kill blacks and black babies. Do you think that would cause an uproar in Washington, DC?

Duh, do you even have to think about that?

Yet, the group calling themselves the New Black Panthers did just that in 2008. Yet, as reported here, the Dept of Justice under Obama's AG Eric Holder told the DOJ not to pursue the cases or any case that involves black on white victims.

It sounds like this story is getting ready to explode, just in time for the November elections. Very good timing. Keep watch.

President Obama said earlier this year that the health-care bill that Congress passed three months ago is "essentially identical" to the Massachusetts universal coverage plan that then-Gov. Mitt Romney signed into law in 2006. No one but Mr. Romney disagrees.

As events are now unfolding, the Massachusetts plan couldn't be a more damning indictment of ObamaCare. The state's universal health-care prototype is growing more dysfunctional by the day, which is the inevitable result of a health system dominated by politics.

The deeper problem is that price controls seem to be the only way the political class can salvage a program that was supposed to reduce spending and manifestly has not. Massachusetts now has the highest average premiums in the nation.

In a new paper, Stanford economists John Cogan and Dan Kessler and Glenn Hubbard of Columbia find that the Massachusetts plan increased private employer-sponsored premiums by about 6%. Another study released last week by the state found that the number of people gaming the "individual mandate"—buying insurance only when they are about to incur major medical costs, then dumping coverage—has quadrupled since 2006.

Liberals write off such consequences as unimportant under the revisionist history that the plan was never meant to reduce costs but only to cover the uninsured. Yet Mr. Romney wrote in these pages shortly after his plan became law that every resident "will soon have affordable health insurance and the costs of health care will be reduced."

Words and Their Lack of Meaning: DOJ sues Arizona

As reported here, BHO's Dept of Justice with Eric Holder is suing the state of Arizona and its governor Janet Brewer for, get this, the Justice Department claims the federal government has "preeminent authority" on immigration enforcement and that the Arizona law "disrupts" that balance.

Upsets the balance of the Fed's authority on immigration? Darn Good Thing!

Because the Federal policy forever has been for open borders on the south and north. Arizona is merely trying to do what the Fed's won't do.

Stay tuned for lots more to be sure!

Harboring Illegal Immigrants: not priceless, $113B per year

This recently published study contends that harboring illegal immigrants in the US cost $113B or as the study says, an average of $1,117 for every “native-headed” household in America -- according to a study conducted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).

The study, a copy of which was provided to FoxNews.com, “is the first and most detailed look at the costs of illegal immigration ever done,” says Bob Dane, director of communications at FAIR, a conservative organization that seeks to end almost all immigration to the U.S.

Garbage In, Garbage Out: too many brains, too little common sense

You just gotta love the New York Times! Just when you think things can't get any stupider, when no one will have the guts to just publish something so stupid as to make you outwardly laugh, there is the NYT to rescue your day.

In the midst of the worst economic and political crisis of the last 100 years, what does the New York Times publish for us to contemplate?

More government of course! For example, it could create a program to restructure consumer debt. Although rates on 10-year Treasury bonds are only about 3 percent, many consumers still carry tens of thousands of dollars of credit card debt at 20 percent or more. This burden has been a continuing drag on spending. The federal government could reduce it by borrowing at 3 percent and lending to consumers at 8 percent under a one-time debt-restructuring plan. Get that, "a one time plan",,,,,yeah, right!

Hold on to your lunch, this one is the best: Another useful measure would be a carbon tax — or its approximate equivalent, a cap-and-trade system — scheduled for a gradual phase-in after the economy has again reached full employment. This would stimulate an immediate, huge jump in private investment without the government having to spend a penny.

Still scratching your head on that one? The Cap & Tax would make every car, machine, and appliance obsolete; thus all the research needed to design and build new ones would [magically] so stimulate the economy that gold would run in the streets.

I am sure glad they were kidding when they published this!

Political Parties: they manipulate us, they don't lead us

This story, from the Washington Post, unwittingly provides a perfect illustration of how the established political parties manipulate us to THEIR ends, rather than seek to lead us.

The Dems are fretting that white voters are leaving Obama in droves (gee, wonder why?). So, do the dems propose to change they way they lead the country to try and imporve their standing with white voters to try and bring them back into the fold?

Oh my heavens no........To avoid such losses, the Democratic National Committee has committed to spending tens of millions of dollars to re-create (or come somewhere near re-creating) the 2008 election model, in which Democrats relied heavily on higher-than-normal turnout from young people and strong support from African American and Hispanic voters.

The DNC's plan is ambitious, to say the least: In the space of a few months, the strategists hope to change the composition of a midterm electorate that, if history is any guide, tends to be older and whiter than in a presidential-election year. Put that way, it sounds crazy -- and it has drawn considerable skepticism from independent observers.

Translated: we are going to skew the electorate enough to squeek by. After they vote we don't care what all those folks go off and do. Just so they negate those pesky white folks on election day!

Makes you want to go work for the party!

I Am Not Making This Up: NASA to help US improve muslim relations

Will Americans go back to the moon? Nope. Will we go to Mars? Maybe when Pigs fly.

So what will we do with NASA, the agency created to get Americans into space?

Well, BHO thinks it is the perfect vehicle to improve muslim relations!! I kid you not. Read it all here.

Here is a question I have: why don't the muslims improve relations with us?

Just askin'........

Democratic Congress: Dishonest & Proud of it!

As another poke in the eye to the American people, Last night, as part of a procedural vote on the emergency war supplemental bill, House Democrats attached a document that "deemed as passed" a non-existent $1.12 trillion budget. The execution of the "deeming" document allows Democrats to start spending money for Fiscal Year 2011 without the pesky constraints of a budget.

The procedural vote passed 215-210 with no Republicans voting in favor and 38 Democrats crossing the aisle to vote against deeming the faux budget resolution passed.

Never before -- since the creation of the Congressional budget process -- has the House failed to pass a budget, failed to propose a budget then deemed the non-existent budget as passed as a means to avoid a direct, recorded vote on a budget, but still allow Congress to spend taxpayer money.
Read it all

here.

On today, this 4th of July, the 234th birthday of this country of Freedom, Liberty, and Independence, we should reflect on these words from the Declaration of Independence;

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security

Chicago Gun Ban: Screw you Supreme Court!!

As predicted and threatened, Chicago's boss, Mayor Daley and his rubberstamp councile have enacted new gun ban laws in light of the Supreme Court decision this week on the 2nd Amendment. Read it all here.

The Justices overturned Chicago’s ban on handguns in the city and 4 days later, city aldermen unanimously approved the most-strict regulations on gun ownership in the nation; 45-0. Daley and his team have carefully crafted the ordinance in an attempt to dodge any conflicts with the supreme-court ruling, but at a press conference the Mayor made it clear that he is ready for a fight. “As long as I’m Mayor, I will never give up or give in to gun violence that continues to threaten every part of our nation including Chicago,” He said at a press conference announcing his counter to the ruling.

The ordinance begrudgingly allows gun owner ship but slaps a host of regulations on top of it. Some of the key regulations are as follows:

Gun owners need a Chicago Firearms permit, which costs $100 and must be renewed every 3 years, in addition to their Illinois Firearm owner’s ID.

Firearms sales are banned in the city.

Chicago residents can register only 1 handgun per month.

When a weapon is transported it much be taken apart and not accessible.

It is illegal to have your gun on the porch, yard or Garage. The gun is only legal inside the residence.

Only one gun in the house can be ready to be fired. The rest must have trigger locks or be disassembled.

Guns are banned from hotels, dorms or group living environments.

And so in the land of Daley, American Rights guaranteed by the Constitution remain under constant attack!

Obama out of touch on jobs: Does he care?

The employment picture in June continues to be bad as reported here.

Over 650,000 Americans gave up looking for work. Over 14 million Americans are searching for work. The economy has shed 8 million jobs since late 2007.

But wait! Just before boarding Air Force One this morning, Obama declared we are going in the right direction and in fact has authorized new Federal spending that will create 5,000 new temporary construction jobs.

Big Whoop! How do you nearly 15 million out of work folks feel about that?

Obama & the Cloward-Piven End Game

As we have noted before, everyday Americans have been puzzled by Obama, whom they elected to make things better for them. They liked him personally, but although he initiated a firestorm of legislative activity, he never seemed to fix anything.

Finally, through the efforts of many on the right to educate people, a growing majority of Americans began to discover that fixing things wasn't really Obama's agenda.

Although small, a growing group of Americans are starting to understand that Obama was never ever about fixing anything; his goal was to transform America. Transform it into just another western-European socialist utopia.

Obama has not cared about polls. He cares not for your approval. He cares for his ideology. But now, even the media, even self-serving industrial leaders, are fleeing him in droves. Not that he cares........except it might damage is drive to transformation.

The transformation is everything for Obama. And now you can see an edge of desperation in his efforts toward that transformation. Even his staunchest supporters are aghast that he would throw immigration reform into the gumbo of legislative initiatives he has on Capital Hill clogging up Congress. But this, he has done."

But he is forced to do that. In order to make his Cloward-Piven built strategy work, he had to create crisis and collapse. But he is running out of time, the backlash threatens not only him, but more importantly, his socialist transformation. And as a true soldier of the socialist war, he cannot let his victory, ever so close, be defeated by the common folk.

From this point on, Obama will become more strident, even more political, possibly even dangerous. Most of the damage of enacted agenda is yet to descend upon America, yet he sees his victory slipping away as inexorably as the oil in the Gulf comes upon the beaches. And he has to push as never before to ensure that his ideology and vision of transformation is not defeated.

The Big Question: Will enough of us see this by November to cripple his power and start to fix the damage?

"But it's for the Children" !!!!!!!!!!!!

You have heard them, we are hearing them in south Mississippi. The screams "you can't cut teacher positions, it's for the Children!!!!!!!!!!"

The Obama Administration wants to borrow another $23 billion to shore up teachers and other school employee union groups because, you guessed it, "it's for the Children!!!!!!!!!"

Really? Take a look at that graph up there: school employment has skyrocketed relative to student enrollment. Does that mean all those extra workers have driven school achievement to similarly stratospheric levels? Ha, Ha, Ha, you know the answer to that question.

So, the only children this $23 billion might help are the children of the union members. Ain't doing nothing for the kiddos in the classroom. But, that wasn't the point in the first place.
