As the NJ Senate unexpectedly defeats the Gay Marriage bill in New Jersey, just up the road (so to speak), Bishop Vick Gene Robinson pushes full speed ahead with a Lesbian Marriage ceremony.
Robinson was "ground zero" in the current crises over Biblical Authority in the Anglcian Communion. At its 2009 triennial convention, The Episcopal Church in the US declared its intention to thumb its nose at the rest of the Communion and push full speed ahead with the blessing of homosexual unions. It is fitting that Robinson would be in the forefront of the movement.
