The CEO of C-Span has implored Congress to open the final negotiations on Healthcare Reform to the Network's cameras. In making his plea, CEO Brian Lamb reminded President Obama of a campaign promise made in 2008;
"That's what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people can see what the choices are," Obama said at a debate against Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2008.
Now, will we be surprised if this turns out to be another campaign promise broken?
Recall these:
-no lobbyists in my administration
-no earmarks approved by me
-will not tax health insurance policies
Oh well, they're just words, only words........
