House Minority Leader John Boehner tossed President Obama's hand grenade right back at him and dared him to pick it up!
The President, despite majorities in the House and a super majority in the Senate has not been able to push through his Progressive healthcare reform bills because the American people have said Hell NO!
So, all the rhetoric about Republicans being the party of "no" is just sophistry. If the Democrats were united behind this it would be law by now.
So this "pretend" summit the President wants to have at the end of the month with Republicans is just a desperate ploy to suck them into the morass and tar them with the responsibility for getting these awful pieces of legislation passed.
Many have been telling the Republicans to answer Obama's invitation with Hell NO!
Boehner's response is just that: why get together to talk about dead legislation. If you can't pass it, we aren't going to help you.
