The Sacred Triduum
The Sacred Triduum celebrates the three days of Christ's victory over sin and death within the Church's liturgy. The principal liturgical celebrations are;
Good Friday-the day given to contemplation of Jesus's suffering and death on the cross
The Easter Vigil-beginning in darkness it traces the saving work of God, often incorporates baptisms, and concludes with the Eucharisti celebration while praising "he has risen".
Easter Sunday-the principal celebration of the Ressurection of Christ
