As the liberal media fans the flames of controversy in the Roman Church sex-scandal case, a very well written rebuttal to a recent New York Times article accusing Pope Benedict of impeding abuse cases when he was Cardinal Ratzinger is found here.
It is clear that abuse has taken place. It is clear that in today's context, actions taken 20 or 30 years ago were not proper. But to use the "sources" that the NYT used to publish was is essentially a smear article are certainly not defensible.
