Is Pandora's Box being opened????

That picture above is a view of Iran's first nuclear power plant outside the city of Bushehr. With Russian assistance it will be loaded with nuclear fuel rods with a couple of days from now. After various tests, the plant will presumably go critical in the near future and begin generating power. Read it all here.

Iran is not just another country joining the nuclear power club: Iran is the "ground zero" of radical Islamic terrorism around the world. No less source than the CIA, read here, lists the legal system of Iran as being based on Sharia Law. What does that mean? Sharia Law is the sacred law of Islam, read more
here.

In its radical expression, Islam and Sharia Law seek to purge the world of infidels, those who are not Muslim under Islamic religion. With the advent of nuclear power in Iran, one of the world's most radical Islamic nations now has the secrets of the greatest power mankind has devised.

Is that smart?

Place a wager: Are we Safe?

What's new in the world?

Oh, yeah. In Iran, the self-declared nuclear regime announced that it was now enriching uranium to 20 percent. When President Obama took office, the Islamic Republic had 400 centrifuges enriching up to 3.5 percent. A year later, it has 8,000 centrifuges enriching to 20 percent. The CIA director, Leon Panetta, now cautiously concedes that Iran’s nuclear ambitions may have a military purpose (you think?). Which is odd, because the lavishly funded geniuses behind America’s National Intelligence Estimate told us only two years ago that Tehran had ended its nuclear weapons program in 2003. Is that estimate no longer operative? And, if so, could we taxpayers get a refund?

Cap and Trade is not Dead!!!!!

If you have been under the impression that the looney left ideas for Cap & Trade died when Scott Brown was elected to the Senate, think again!

As we reported a couple of weeks ago, the President's mention of supporting new Nuclear Power Plants in the State of the Union address was a ploy. A ploy to get Republicans to support his broader energy agenda. See here.

Now, the President is making his promise official with the offering of loan guarantees to build two new reactors in Georgia. As the story reports, Obama next week will announce the loan guarantee to build the nuclear power plant, an administration official said Friday. The two new Southern Co. reactors to be built in the state of Georgia, are part of a White House energy plan that administration officials hope will draw Republican support.

Will build republican support for what? Why Cap & Tax of course. Why maybe every republican who signs on to Cap & Tax will get a nuke loan guarantee. That's good though isn't it?

Maybe not. Getting a loan guarantee in exchange for a vote does not mean a nuke plant will get built. The permitting time for a new nuke plant can be as much as 15 years. Lot's can happen during that time to kill the plant construction. So you see, this is just a political shell game that republicans better not fall for.

Iran now a Nuclear State

What a warm cozy thought that is! Iran's radical leader President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced that Iran has now enriched Uranium to 20% U235 which is the fissionable grade of Uranium. The type for power plants and for bombs. That is a real technical achievement, you don't do that with a home chemistry set. We are going to pay for letting them get that capability.

Just as important as Iran's announcement is what it says about 20 years of dithering by the United States and the world as Iran has moved from rule under the Shah of Iran to a radical Islamist regime hell bent on nuclear capability. And it shows clearly as no other way can how absolutely worthless the United Nations is. We should not send one more dime of money to that worthless institution.

Just pray that Iranian missle doesn't show up in your neighborhood. You might need SPF 10,000 sunscreen to survive!

Watch Out for Carrot and Stick!!!!!! Warning!!!!!!

Another Obama Administration deception tactic to watch out for is his so-called push to increase Federal loan guarantees to nuclear power plant construction projects.

Now why would the democrats cross swords with their enviro-wacko allies to push for more nuclear power? It doesn't make sense! Sure it does!

Obama is pushing this in linkage with his failed Climate Change Legislation. The administration figures they may get a few republicans on board to vote for Cap & Trade if they sweeten it with Nuke plant loan guarantees.

Not only is this a political deception that conservatives will have to warn their senators and representatives about, but it is totally unnecessary.

We do not need more Federal government loan guarantees to build new nuke plants. All the Government has to do is GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!!! What stifles nuke plant construction is the horrendous federal permitting process which may extend construction times out to 15 years or longer. How can you make an investment in that climate?

Get the Government out of the way and you would have nuke plants sprouting up in nearly every state. Of course, that's not what they want so they won't get out of the way. And I bet not one plant gets started because of Obama's proposal. What we might get is the Cap & Trade agenda which is bad for America.

Iran matches words with deeds

As world leaders dither and debate the fraud science of man-made climate change in Copenhagen, a very real threat continues to unfold in Iran.

Recall, Iran is the nation which denies the Holocaust and vows to wipe Israel off the map. While many world leaders scoff at this talk, Iran nonetheless continues to plod along, developing the technology that would allow them to carry out such a threat.

Words of wisdom: don't listen to what people say, look at what they do. Know them by their actions. If we were to heed this wisdom, someone would be working to take out the Iranian nuclear capability as well as their ballistic missile capability. Will it be a world leader like the US who will do this, or will we sit on our hands and once again leave Israel on the tip of the spear to do the job?
