Political Parties: they manipulate us, they don't lead us

This story, from the Washington Post, unwittingly provides a perfect illustration of how the established political parties manipulate us to THEIR ends, rather than seek to lead us.

The Dems are fretting that white voters are leaving Obama in droves (gee, wonder why?). So, do the dems propose to change they way they lead the country to try and imporve their standing with white voters to try and bring them back into the fold?

Oh my heavens no........To avoid such losses, the Democratic National Committee has committed to spending tens of millions of dollars to re-create (or come somewhere near re-creating) the 2008 election model, in which Democrats relied heavily on higher-than-normal turnout from young people and strong support from African American and Hispanic voters.

The DNC's plan is ambitious, to say the least: In the space of a few months, the strategists hope to change the composition of a midterm electorate that, if history is any guide, tends to be older and whiter than in a presidential-election year. Put that way, it sounds crazy -- and it has drawn considerable skepticism from independent observers.

Translated: we are going to skew the electorate enough to squeek by. After they vote we don't care what all those folks go off and do. Just so they negate those pesky white folks on election day!

Makes you want to go work for the party!

Cap and Trade is not Dead!!!!!

If you have been under the impression that the looney left ideas for Cap & Trade died when Scott Brown was elected to the Senate, think again!

As we reported a couple of weeks ago, the President's mention of supporting new Nuclear Power Plants in the State of the Union address was a ploy. A ploy to get Republicans to support his broader energy agenda. See here.

Now, the President is making his promise official with the offering of loan guarantees to build two new reactors in Georgia. As the story reports, Obama next week will announce the loan guarantee to build the nuclear power plant, an administration official said Friday. The two new Southern Co. reactors to be built in the state of Georgia, are part of a White House energy plan that administration officials hope will draw Republican support.

Will build republican support for what? Why Cap & Tax of course. Why maybe every republican who signs on to Cap & Tax will get a nuke loan guarantee. That's good though isn't it?

Maybe not. Getting a loan guarantee in exchange for a vote does not mean a nuke plant will get built. The permitting time for a new nuke plant can be as much as 15 years. Lot's can happen during that time to kill the plant construction. So you see, this is just a political shell game that republicans better not fall for.

Rubio out polling Crist!

This is simply amazing! Charlie Crist was "picking out the curtains" in his new Senate office, as they say. And then Marco Rubio came along and started making it a real race on real conservative issues. Charlie Crist has been an Obama supporter and supported the stimulus bill.

That is all coming back to haunt him big time. Rumor has it that Crist will drop out rather than face a truly humiliating defeat.

Is third time the charm?

When President Obama campaigned for desperate democrats in Virginia and New Jersey last fall, his coattails weren't too long because both races were won by republicans.

Now the rumor has it that Obama might make a last-ditch appearance in Massachusetts to help embattled hopeful Martha Coakley as she tries to take over the senate seat once held by Ted Kennedy. That a republican is running a competitive race in Massachusetts for Ted's old seat shows how far the Democrats have fallen in a year.

Democrats learn: Actions have Consequences

Like Jimmy Carter on steroids, President Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi are steering democrats everywhere toward a cliff as mid-term 2010 elections loom on the horizon. All members of the House of Representatives will be up for election. One third of the Senate will be up for election including Harry Reid himself who is doing badly in the polls in Nevada.

Why this breath taking turn of fortunes? Because the democratic party thought victory in 2008 was a mandate for the radical leftist, marxist agenda of the Obama Administration. They did not realize that America is still a moderate-right nation despite socialist aims and policies to drive it to the left.



This is not to say that all Republicans have behaved well, they have not. This is why each Republican candidate that decides to run in 2010 needs to be placed under the microscope and examined carefully and thouroughly to ensure that candidate espouses the correct conservative agenda that mirrors the intentions of the Founders of the country and the Framers of our Constitution.
