Palin at NRA Convention: Obama wants to ban guns!!

As reported here, Sarah Palin spoke to the NRA Convention in Charlotte, NC yesterday.

"Don't doubt for a minute that, if they thought they could get away with it, they would ban guns and ban ammunition and gut the Second Amendment," said Palin, a lifelong NRA member who once had a baby shower at a local gun range in Alaska. "It's the job of all of us at the NRA and its allies to stop them in their tracks."

All NRA members realize the truth in this. If the Democrats cannot achieve this through direct legislation they will try to pack the Supreme Court with liberals to limit our rights. And if that is not successful they will try to tie us down by "norming" us to UN Treaties which will have the effect of law to take away Americans rights to bear arms. All Constitution loving Americans should join the NRA to protect all of our freedoms. Cost: $35/yr.

Run Sarah Run!!.......for RNC?

No one on the conservative side of the fence can discount the excitment that Sarah Palin, former Governor of Alaska, has brought to the Republican Party, Tea Parties, and other conservative movements.

While all this is true, many have expressed doubts whether she should run for Presidnet in 2012. There are a whole litany of reasons often going in contradictory directions. So if Sarah did not run for President, how could she best contribute to the conservative causes in 2010 and 2012?

How about as Chairman of the Republican National Committee? Why not? Here's why;

1. Michael Steele is a nice guy but not conservative unless pushed into that corner.

2. Michael Steele is a nice guy but is not exciting the party

3. Sarah has instant star power and could energize the party the way she did the flagging McCain ticket in 2008

4. Sarah is conservative and would inspire conservative candidates all over the nation to run

5. Sarah would raise funds like Michael Steele can only dream of

6. Sarah has a backbone of steel and would discourage a third party effort, which has to be discouraged because Obama has to be defeated in 2012.

Palin on Fox: This will drive Liberals Nuts!!!

Fox News has reported that Sarah Palin will become a regular contributor at the News network. This will be very stress-inducing to Liberals. Palin is the conservative they hate more than Limbaugh, because they sense she has the capability to be elected to high office (President?) and they despise the conservative positions she stands for.

I personally like Palin, because like Reagan she has the ability to cut through all the clutter of political speech and with an economy of words state very clearly what she believes in and what her vision for America is. And the left just hates this because she very easily and very simply devalues all the crap that the left believes in: the "right schools", the "right" degrees, using "educated speech", and most of all the soteriological power of big government.

In a nutshell Palin believes;

1. In God
2. Jesus Christ
3. Biblical authority
4. The Constitution
5. America
6. The American People

That pretty much covers the bases as far as I am concerned.
