Drill Baby Drill!! And full speed ahead!

The massive drilling rig accident in the Gulf of Mexico a couple of weeks ago has shaken the oil industry and emboldened anti-oil, anti-everything forces that now offshore drilling can be stopped.

It can't, and it won't.

From the time the first coal mine was dug, we have had coal mine accidents. We have had nuclear power plant accidents, we recently had a gas generating plant accident in the northeast.

Accidents will happen. They happen while we explore space. They happen in military units who stand prepared to protect our country. Accidents, just happen.

It is heartening to see this Fox Poll which shows that 60% of Americans still favor offshore drilling. While this current accident is still fresh news!

Well, so do I! And I live on the Mississippi coast and potentially could be affected by the spill. But we need energy independence for all America and we can achieve it if we press on and learn from any mistakes we make along the way.

EPA’s New CO2 Rules: Bad News for Racial Minorities

As the Obama Administration's radical job-killing Cap & Trade legislation languishes in Congress, the EPA is moving full speed ahead to achieve the same looney man-made global climate change Objectives by executive fiat via CO2 regulations.

As reported at NRO these regulations will have a disproportionate effect on minorities, the typical targets of Democrate "compassion".

“President Obama wants to price us out of energy,” Harry Alford of the National Black Chamber of Commerce told Public Radio International. “This is a war on how we live in America, and don’t regard it lightly. We need to fight them, we need to fight them hard, fight them fierce.” Alford represents some 100,000 black-owned companies.

The story continues.....A recent Affordable Power Alliance study foresees dire consequences from EPA restrictions on traditional energy production as it chases the chimera of global warming.

“We estimated that implementation of the EPA Finding would . . . significantly reduce U.S. GDP every year over the next two decades, and by 2030 GDP would be about $500 billion less” than otherwise. The report also predicts the EPA’s destruction of 2.5 million jobs by 2030.

APA projects that “EPA carbon restrictions would greatly increase U.S. energy costs,” specifically by 50 percent for gasoline, 75 percent for residential natural gas, and 100 percent for industrial natural gas by 2030.

APA expects the black poverty rate to grow from 24 percent to 30 percent, and Hispanic poverty from 23 percent to 28 percent.

Off Shore Drilling: Has Obama Seen the Light?

Like everything else connected with this Administration, anytime you hear about something that sounds like it might be good for America, you have to put your "bullshit" filters on so that you can parse the verbiage to get the real message. Just like his recent discovery that "nuclear power plants will be good for America", this latest spurt of excitement about "protecting America's energy future" is nothing more than an attempt to garner more Republican support for his disastrous Cap&Trade proposals which languish in Congress.

As reported by Michelle Malkin here, and attributed to GOP Rep. Mike Pence, “As usual the devil is in the details. Only in Washington, D.C., can you ban more areas to oil and gas exploration than you open up, delay the date of your new leases and claim you’re going to increase production.

“The President’s announcement today is a smokescreen. It will almost certainly delay any new offshore exploration until at least 2012 and include only a fraction of the offshore resources that the previous Administration included in its plan.

“Unfortunately, this is yet another feeble attempt to gain votes for the President’s national energy tax bill that is languishing in the Senate. At the end of the day this Administration’s energy plan is simple: increase the cost of energy on every family in America and trade American jobs oversees at a time when millions of Americans are looking for work.”

Coping with Record Snow!!

As the White House disappears in the latest blizzard blow and FEMA is shutdown along with the rest of Washington, DC, let's recall what type of energy source allows us to cope with mother Nature's fury.

Is it solar panels? Windmills? Biomass? Geo-thermal energy? NO!!

This blizzard is testing the whole mid-Atlantic.

What works in these conditions is the good old-fashioned internal combustion engine burning fossil fuels! Whether it is a snow plow, snow blower, SUV, Ambulance, whatever, it works when your solar panels are buried in 4 feet of snow.

And there are thousands of households thankfully warmed by fuel oil, natural gas, propane, and coal. All fossil fuels.

So when some environmental wacko tries to talk you out of your favorite fossil fuel, just smile and tell them "you first!"

National Suicide on the High Altar of Environmental Purity

In the high-holy pursuit of environmental purity and in order to further promote the hoax of man-made-climate-change, America is heading down the slippery slope of destroying jobs and increasing our dependence on off-shore energy sources. The myth of "green" jobs is a pie in the sky illusion that to date means nothing more than going into the landscaping business.

While we pursue "feel good" legislation, the Obama Administration has declared war on all living things, like Man, by declaring Carbon Dioxide a pollutant. For those not scientifically oriented, Carbon Dioxide is the gas that every one of us exhales!

The regulation of Carbon Dioxide accomplishes a radical leftist goal thru administrative agency fiat that they could not obtain in the representative legislative process. In simple terms, bad things that people don't want are now being crammed down our throats.

Who do you think will scream the loudest when the lights go out and the air conditioners don't run anymore?
